The North American Electric Power System, 2012 edition, is the cornerstone of Platts award-winning, electric power suite of map products and is an important visual tool for understanding the generation, transmission and utility landscape of the United States. A staple of boardrooms and offices for over a decade, editions of this map have won numerous cartographic awards and are part of the permanent collection of the United States Library of Congress.


This map depicts power plants, transmission lines, and major utility service territories in the United States and Canada. It is the most current and up to date electric system map on the market, showing over 500 planned power generation projects and 73,000 miles of planned transmission projects in addition to comprehensive coverage of the existing transmission and generation landscape.
